Jessica Tingley is a certified American Tribal Style® instructor and a FatChanceBellyDance® Sister Studio based in Sandpoint, Idaho and Bonners Ferry, Idaho. Jessica began her journey in bellydance almost a decade ago while living in Hampton Roads, Virginia. She took classes in several styles and with several instructors before falling in love with the sisterhood she found in ATS®, as taught by the enormously talented Mariellyn Maurer. Jessica moved to the Pacific Northwest in 2010 and danced for several years with an established local dance group, Tribe Zaghareet, before taking a short break from dance. She resumed classes with Washington-based FCBD Sister Studio® Malidoma! World Dance and instructor Cindy Moon Bear, before becoming a certified instructor herself in 2014. She continued her study of ATS®, taking classes and workshops with various instructors in 2015 -17 including Carolena Nericcio, Megha Gavin, Devi Mamek, Lulu Martin and Deanna Freeman. Jessica was recertified as an instructor and Sister Studio® in 2016 and recently completed over 40 hours of ATS® training to recertify in 2017.

Jessica’s vision has always been for a strong and vibrant dance community. To help reach that goal her studio has provided scholarships to send other committed dancers for General Skills certification. These dancers have gone on to further grow the dance community through their teaching at Devotion Studio, the formation of both student and performance troupes and most recently, a new Sister Studio® and collaborator in nearby Kettle Falls, Wa.

Jessica teaches classes in both Sandpoint and Bonners Ferry, Idaho.
